Alaskan Cruise deals have been offered for many years but more since the GFC has hit. Yes this is an excellent time to search and discover the best of the Alaskan Cruise deals and benefit from these.

  

Investigate your Alaskan cruise by routes and or cruise lines.  The most popular cruise lines are Princess Cruises, Holland America Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Norwegian Cruises and Carnival Cruises. Each of these cruise companies offers a number of different cruises that reflect their own special characteristics. Alaskan cruises are also determined by routes and these determined what you see and in what order. These routes feature either the Marine Inland Passage or the Gulf of Alaska. If you’d like to start from southern Alaska, you may consider starting in Vancouver or even San Francisco. You may prefer to do some land based traveling in the north first and then travel home on a cruise from Anchorage, Seward or Whittier. Discounted Alaskan Cruise deals target a number of traveling groups. Travelers aged 55+ and their friends or family can travel at discount prices. Only one passenger per cabin must be at least 55 in order to gain the discount for everyone in the room. Active firefighters presenting a copy of their official ID or badge and a driver's license or passport at the time of booking can qualify for the special rates.

Interline travelers, (employees of a domestic or international commercial passenger airline) are eligible for discounted cruise prices.  In some cases, employees of other cruise lines, Federal Express, DHL, United Parcel Service, Worldspan, Sabre, Galileo, Amadeus, and members of the Airline Pilots' Association (ALPA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) along with retired airline employees of operating airlines may also be eligible.

Active, reserve, and retired members and veterans of the U.S. military and the Canadian Forces and teachers presenting a photocopy of their teacher's certification, union card or letter from principal on school letterhead may be eligible for discounted cruise deals.

Employees of state and federal law enforcement agencies who present a copy of their official ID or badge and a driver's license or passport may be eligible to qualify for the special rates. Past guest travelers with evidence of previous travel can enjoy discounted travel and singles are invited to become members of cruise lines and receive regular details of last-minute-mark-down discounted cruises.
